ECHOES OF MISERY (A Dark Poem)

Echoes...

(Echoes...

Echoes...)

In my mind...

(Mind...

Mind...)

Darkness...

(Darkness...

Darkness....)

Deep inside...

(Inside...

Inside...)

Trapped...

(Trapped...

Trapped...)

In this hell...

(Hell...

Hell...)

I'm so cold...

(Cold...

Cold...)

I can't move...

(Move...

Move...)

Frozen...

(Frozen...

Frozen...)

By the pain...

(Pain...

Pain...)

And the fear...

(Fear...

Fear...)

Who will save me...

(Save me...

Save me...)

Can you hear me...

(Hear me...

Hear me...)

Echoes...

(Echoes...

Echoes...)

In my mind...

(Mind...

Mind...)

So much pain...

(Pain...

Pain...)

In my soul...

(Soul...

Soul...)

Will it always...

(Always...

Always...)

Be this way...

(Way...

Way...way...way...way...pain...pain...pain...pain...)

THE DOORWAY (A Dark Poem)

The door is open
and inside my nightmare awaits
The joke was on me all along
For daring to think I can be whole
Pain isn't just my companion
It's my destiny
There's no escaping what was meant to be
And still I feel strange comfort
In the familiar darkness
The dirty view of the world
Is exactly as I remember
Its as though none of it ever left
I take a deep breath as I
Step through the doorway
I close my eyes
And enter the cold cruel embrace
Of my old friend...

FOREVER SLEEP (A Dark Poem)

There is no satisfaction

To be derived when sleep eludes

And I tire of making the effort to even breathe

I smile at the sweet thought

Of the forever sleep of death

Wandering through life trying to hold back

Bleeding out my soul through a fake smile

No one can know

How the cold blackness advances in me

I smile at the sweet thought

Of the forever sleep of death

One more day to get through

I struggle to hide the ugly

I carry around with me

Madness is a dark ballet

In the back of my mind

I smile at the sweet thought

Of the forever sleep of death

Happiness is a high and when I crashed

It left me broken and twisted

An emotional cripple

Now I limp through life dragging

The battered, bloody remains of who I was

And I smile waiting for the lovely

Forever sleep of death...
