There is no satisfaction
To be derived when sleep eludes
And I tire of making the effort to even breathe
I smile at the sweet thought
Of the forever sleep of death
Wandering through life trying to hold back
Bleeding out my soul through a fake smile
No one can know
How the cold blackness advances in me
I smile at the sweet thought
Of the forever sleep of death
One more day to get through
I struggle to hide the ugly
I carry around with me
Madness is a dark ballet
In the back of my mind
I smile at the sweet thought
Of the forever sleep of death
Happiness is a high and when I crashed
It left me broken and twisted
An emotional cripple
Now I limp through life dragging
The battered, bloody remains of who I was
And I smile waiting for the lovely
Forever sleep of death...
